            The beginnings of the Department of Systematic Theology reach as far as to the work of Kar

            gave lectures on Ethics and Systematic Theology to students from a seminary of the Czechos
            at the Hussite Czechoslovak Protestant Theological Faculty in 1924-1927. After the reorgan
            Hussite Czechoslovak Theological Faculty, Alois Spisar was the head of the Systematical Th

            of the Department for the Czechoslovak Church. When the Faculty was divided in 1950, Zdeně
            active at the new Hus Czechoslovak Faculty as the head systematic theologian until 1979. T
            then taken over by Zdeněk Kučera who remained in this position after 1990 when the Faculty

            into Charles University as the Hussite Theological Faculty. Jiří Vogel is currently the he
            department.


            The Department does not only educate students of Theological fields of study but it also c
            to teaching other non-theological study programs at the Hussite theological faculty. The m

            Department pursue pedagogical as well as scientific activities in Dogmatic Theology, Moder
            Ethics, Theological Philosophy and the relationship between Religion and Natural Sciences.
